Curing a bulging disc

Your vertebrae is very important for giving your body construction and support, as well as for giving protection to a huge group of nerves that make up your spinal cord. If the spinal cord is pinched, depressed, or torn, it can cause serious pain, loss of movement, and maybe even paralysis. Thus, it is key for the spinal pillar to remain strong, which consists of the help of cushioning pads called discs. Should the discs bulge abnormally, the nerves will get pinched, like in my back, and cause all sorts of pain that never seems to end. The name of this condition is a herniated disc.

The backbone is made up of hard columnar pieces of bone, called vertebra, with cartilage discs in between them. The discs have a heavily outer layer, or donut, and a softer core, similar to jelly, that is called the nucleus. These discs act as shock absorbers for your spine.

Sometimes, the annulus can tear, allowing the nucleus to bulge through this slit. If the jelly pushes into the internal of the spinal column, it can press up against the nerves of the spinal cord. This can cause symptoms such as: sciatica, or a radiating, achy pain, tingling or numbness, pain in a “line” of your body, such as pectusto arm, pain that worsens when you cough or sneeze.

For a recovery from a herniated disc, Many people choose a combination of treatments to both reduce pain and help heal their body’s. Sometimes, you may need to undergo a back surgery. This involves opening up your back so that surgeons can trim away the leaking nucleus that is pressing on the nerves and causing pain.
